Biography 

Yvonne Fritz was first elected to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta as the Member for Calgary-Cross in 1993 and was elected for her sixth term on April 23, 2012.

Mrs. Fritz previously served as Minister of Children and Youth Services, and as chair of the Standing Committee on Public Health and Safety. In her capacity as Minister of Children and Youth Services, she worked with families and communities to provide nurturing, safe environments for children and youth. In addition to her ministerial appointment, she served as a member of the Agenda and Priorities Committee.
